One of the nation’s largest senior care providers put Courtney Goin in charge of a local Alzheimer’s care unit just a year after she graduated from the University of Kansas. By her next anniversary, she taught and coached all its new memory care unit managers in the region.

Courtney eventually became sales and marketing director for another national firm, where she developed relationships with many area physicians, nurses, social workers and allied health providers. In 2011, one of her contacts introduced Courtney to the Care Haven model. Convinced that it lived up to her ideal of compassionate caregiving, she joined our management team.

Starting as Community Liaison, calling on an extensive network of local resources, Courtney pointed families to the memory care that best suited their needs. She developed a reputation for providing skilled and sensitive counsel, guiding families through a loved one’s move.

Of course, Courtney’s responsibilities grew over time. So, in 2019, we promoted her to Director of Operations & Marketing. She partners with the Nursing Supervisor to manage our homes. Courtney’s essential responsibilities include oversight of (1) household operations, (2) attracting and welcoming new residents and (3) caregiver hiring, training and performance. She supervises the Operations Manager, the Activities Director and the Community Liaison.
