Within a year of beginning her career in memory care, Courtney Goin was leading one of Sunrise Senior Living’s local Alzheimer’s and dementia care units. By the end of her second year, she was teaching and coaching all its new memory care unit managers in this region, as well as providing dementia care training to ALL the region’s newly hired managers and directors.
Courtney eventually took a position as sales and marketing director for another national provider, where she built a broad network of area physicians, nurses, social workers and allied health providers. In 2011, those contacts introduced her to the Care Haven model. Impressed that it matched her ideal of compassionate caregiving, Courtney joined our management team.
As Community Liaison, Courtney reaches out to families that are searching for very personal memory care. With her comprehensive knowledge of local memory care resources, she offers skilled and sensitive counsel as you plan for your loved one. If and when you decide Care Haven is the right choice for your family, Courtney will guide you as our team carefully tailors a care plan and arranges for your move.
After your move, you’ll find Courtney working to see that Care Haven residents receive the dignified care she promised. Certified as both a Nurse Aide and a Medication Aide, she pitches in if our caregivers need an extra pair of hands. Drawing on her background in teaching and coaching, she also assists the Nursing Supervisor with our staff’s dementia care training.
